  • Flexible Hybrid Classes

Sage Connected combines a flexible high school online environment with periodic campus visits for assessments and group work. Sage Hill students who successfully complete a Sage Connected course receive graduation credit on their transcript as well as a letter grade that will be incorporated into their GPA (students from other high schools must confirm their own school’s credit requirements). All Sage Connected classes meet virtually for five weeks, from June 23 through July 25, 2025, with various on-campus meeting times. See below for course descriptions for meeting days and times.

Please note that credit classes taken while a student is in grades 6-8 will not apply toward Sage Hill’s graduation requirements if that student ends up attending the School.

Textbooks
Sage Hill School partners with Follett Virtual Campus as our official textbook provider. Textbook information for summer credit classes will be available in May. Please check back for more information.

REGISTRATION FOR SAGE CONNECTED CREDIT CLASSES OPENS ON MARCH 1, 2025.

Science

List of 1 items.

  • Human Anatomy & Physiology (SCD)

    Who: Students entering grades 11-12
When: June 23 to July 25 (This class will not meet on July 4.) Students participate in this elective course online, via our learning management system Canvas, where learning is accomplished on a flexible schedule. Students access material created by their Sage Hill instructor, but do so asynchronously, with assignments due twice per week. Students must attend Conference (office hours) twice per week via Zoom.
What: Human Anatomy and Physiology is an excellent choice for students exploring interests in the myriad of careers in the health sciences and medical research. Because we all own a human body, the course helps participants to gain insights on their own physiology that should benefit them for a lifetime. The class provides an overview of the basic anatomy and physiology of humans, from the study of our cells and tissues to body systems. Through discussion, online video lessons and exercises, and laboratory simulations via PhysioEx10, students come to understand the workings of the human body. The topics addressed include the structure and function of all body systems, with emphasis placed on such themes as the relationship between form and function, homeostasis, and the degree to which the systems are interrelated. Students may schedule optional on-campus dissections with the instructor once classes are in session. This is a Sage Center Designated Course (SCD).
Prerequisite: This course is open to students who have successfully completed one year of high school chemistry and one year of high school biology.
    Cost: $2,900
