Sage Defeats J Serra 13-5 in Boys Tennis

Sage Hill, ranked #5 in this week's CIF-SS Division 2  Top Ten Poll has been pretty successful against Trinity League teams this season, having lost to Santa Margarita on games 70 - 61 after going 9-9 in sets; defeating Mater Dei 13-5, and now defeating J Serra 13-5. SMCHS is currently ranked #1 in the CIF-SS Division 2 Top Ten Poll. The Trinity League, which includes Orange Lutheran and Servite, have been moved from CIF Division 1 down to Division 2, the same division as the Academy League teams.
 
The Lightning lead after the first round of play, 5-1, taking all 3 doubles and 2 of 3 singles. Sage got 5 points in the second round, taking all 3 doubles and 2 of 3 singles to win the match 10-2. The Lightning cleared the bench in the last round splitting the round 3-3, for a final score of 15-3.
 
Sage host the Gilman School of Baltimore on Wednesday before starting Academy League play on Friday at St. Margaret's.
