Winter Formal Guidelines

Dear Sage Hill Parents,

On Saturday, January 30, Sage Hill School will be hosting a Winter Formal at Gods & Heroes in Costa Mesa. In order to insure the success of the event, we would like to share with you some of the Sage Hill School policies concerning formal dances.

• Students are expected to dress in an appropriate manner. The school dress code has been "relaxed" as it is a Saturday evening social event. However, we do feel that students should hold themselves in high regard and dress appropriately for the evening.

• We do not recommend providing hotel rooms for students. The School is in no way responsible for the actions of any student outside of the dance.

• However, the School will hold students accountable for any behavior that jeopardizes the welfare of the community, a member of the community, other students or the student, him or herself, or which brings the name of the school into disrepute, and students should expect to be disciplined for such conduct by the School.

• Students will not be permitted to leave the dance and return later, for any reason.

• In addition to the rules stated above, all school rules, as defined in the student handbook, will be strictly enforced.

Please take the time to share this information with your son or daughter. With your help, we expect this to be a memorable evening for all who are associated with the Sage Hill School community.

All good wishes for a happy 2010.

Sincerely,

Jon Poffenberger
Dean of Students

Owen Kiely
Director of Activities
