MUN Wins Awards at Berkeley Conference
Sixteen Sage Hill Model United Nations (MUN) delegates competed in the prestigious UC Berkeley MUN conference March 3-5. Berkeley Model United Nations is a student run organization on the UC Berkeley campus and is the world’s very first United Nations simulation for high school students. Every March, over 1,500 high school students from all over the world come to Berkeley to participate in Berkeley Model United Nations.

Congratulations to Sage Hill students: junior Priya Kamdar, junior Henry Lavacude-Cola and sophomore William Stomber for earning awards.
Besides competing at the conference, Sage Hill MUN delegates visited the site of where the United Nations Charter was signed in 1945, and they enjoyed dinner with Sage Hill alumni who are currently undergraduate students at UC Berkeley.

Entering its 64th session, Berkeley MUN’s mission is to spread awareness of international issues and the spirit of diplomacy through UN simulations, and it also aims to create an educational experience for high school students, to help them realize their potential in public speaking as well as policy debate.
