Sage Hill Students Semifinalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program

Sage Hill Students Semifinalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program
The 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program named three Sage Hill students as semifinalists in September, and also 12 Sage Hill students were commended by the program. Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors who take the test and include the high scoring entrants in each state. Semifinalists will continue on in the competition for National Merit Scholarships that will be offered next spring.

Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2017 competition by taking the 2015 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). “The young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” said a spokesperson for the National Merit Scholarship Corp.
