    Bio
     
    Todd Haney joined Sage Hill in 2005, initially teaching AP Biology and Marine Science. He earned his bachelor’s degree in zoology from Northern Arizona University, a master’s degree in marine science from the University of Charleston, South Carolina, and a doctorate in evolutionary biology and ecology from UCLA. Dr. Haney has performed fieldwork in a variety of different countries, from which he has published research papers and has presented at national and international conferences. While at Sage Hill School, he has taught seven different courses and has enjoyed interacting with students outside of classroom walls as a leader on a dozen domestic and international trips.

    Joining the Sage Hill Admission team in 2019, Leyla Hanjan has a background in health care consulting and strategic marketing. Her extensive volunteer work in education includes serving as an Alumni Student Recruiter for the University of Michigan. Ms. Hanjan holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a MBA from the École Nationale de Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, France.

    Mr. Hatfield joined Sage Hill School in 2012 after four years at Fairmont Preparatory Academy in Anaheim, where he served as the Chair of the English Department and taught AP English, IB English, and a seminar entitled Literature to Film. Prior to Fairmont, Mr. Hatfield taught at Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, where he taught tenth and eleventh grade English. He also taught at Desert Christian Academy in Bermuda Dunes, where he served as an English teacher, college counselor, and academic dean. Mr. Hatfield earned his bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Southern California, with an emphasis on creative writing. He is currently the Chair of the Sage Hill English Department.

    Mr. Hsu joined Sage Hill in 2001 after managing networks and systems for high tech companies in the Orange County area. He holds advanced technical certifications from Microsoft and Cisco Systems and earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University at Fullerton.
