Four Sage Hill alumni were among the change makers recently tapped by Forbes for the
2025 30 Under 30 List.
Forbes writers and editors annually comb through thousands of online submissions and field recommendations from industry sources and previous honorees. Candidates are vetted by Forbes staff and an independent judging panel based on funding, revenue, social impact, scale, inventiveness and potential. Meet our trailblazing alumni below.
Elena Bonvicini ‘17 (Art & Style) started her denim brand by selling thrift store cut-off shorts to classmates in the Sage Hill girls’ locker room. The business is now a global direct-to-consumer venture fueled by social media and influencers, landing deals with retailers including Selfridges, Revolve, Fred Segal and Bergdorf Goodman. The brand earned $2 million in 2023 and is set to hit $3 million in sales in 2024. Bonvicini added she’s enjoyed sharing the 30 Under 30 recognition with her family.
“It was something that I was manifesting and working toward for years,” Bonvicini said. “I remember two years ago, I had applied but I didn't get it. I was super devastated, but it just reassured me that it was just not my time. I need to work for it and I need to deserve it.”
Kamran Ansari ’24 and Nadia Ansari ‘22 (Healthcare) co-founded Fluxwear to develop and market a wearable device that harnesses pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy to rapidly reduce patients’ chronic pain and anxiety.
Kamran is the creator behind SHIFT, a non-invasive neuromodulation device concealed within a comfortable hat. As a teenager, Nadia was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome and endured chronic full-body pain After nearly a year and half of tweaking the device, in October 2020, Nadia used the first SHIFT prototype and noticed her pain significantly subsided. Since then, the brother-sister team have worked together to commercialize the SHIFT device, launch clinical studies with Orange County health systems, and earned issued patents. They have raised $2 million for the device, which is currently marketed as a wellness device, and hope to earn FDA authorization. The sibling duo were taking their final exams at Stanford University this week.
“It was an honor to have been included in a list full of change makers. It was a great recognition to receive. We are excited that SHIFT is getting more attention and are continuing to work hard to bring it out to the people who need it the most,” Nadia said.
Sanam Khalili ‘15 (Music), Director of Artist Partnerships for Range Media Partners, joined the marketing firm in 2022. Her client list now includes Jack Harlow, Luke Grimes, Saweetie, and this year's Under 30 featured honoree Shaboozey. Khalili fostered the partnership between Yellowstone star Luke Grimes and workwear retailer Carhartt. As the Director of Artist Partnerships at Range, she also worked with LifeWTR to sponsor Jack Harlow's Gazebo Music Festival.
"It's such an honor and privilege!" Khalili said.
