Week 2, July 1-3
Week 3, July 8-12
In this camp, students will start from the beginning to learn the basics of Python with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence concepts through a series of fun games, lessons and challenges. Examples include Turn Your Actions into Programs, Objects Are All Around Us, Input/Output Game, and other activities that will allow students to observe the intersection between computer science and daily life. By the end of the week, students will have created a Sales Clerk Bot using artificial intelligence as well as a final creative project [omitted the week of July 4] that they can share with their family and friends. The final creative project will emulate high school and college hackathons and provide students with the rare opportunity to experience this fun competition as middle schoolers, helping them in potential computer science futures. Students of all skill levels are encouraged to sign up! Campers should bring their own computer. Note: Chromebooks are not supported on the School's network.
