Week 4, July 21-25

Do you enjoy taking pictures? Are you interested in biology? If so, this might be the perfect way to spend part of your afternoon! There is a beautiful, complex world that escapes the naked eye. In this camp, we will use everything from macro lenses to microscopes in order to explore our surroundings at a finer scale and capture what we see in pictures! Following some quick lessons, you will spend some time each day saving unique images of the small living wonders around us. Each participant will submit their favorite photos of the day so that they can be projected and shared. Importantly, every day, the science behind each image will be discussed too! On our final day, as a group, the best images from each person will be included in a book, where your photos are included with written explanations of the biology. Campers should bring a smart phone. If a smart phone isn't available, students will be able to use a provided microscope.
